Based in the Canton of Zug, Switzerland, Daniel Ossio is one of the world's most experienced wingsuit pilots — with over 4,000 wingsuit jumps and approximately 20 hours of wingsuit wind-tunnel flying time.

Daniel founded the Wingsuit Academy, a training programme dedicated to advancing wingsuit piloting skills and safety worldwide. As the founder of the Swiss Wingsuit Team and a former member of the Swiss National Wingsuit Performance Team (representing Switzerland at the 2022 FAI World Championship), he competes and trains at the highest level of the discipline.

He is an ESS Ambassador (European Skydiving Symposium) and a sought-after keynote speaker on topics ranging from human performance under extreme conditions to risk management and team excellence.

2018

AWF World Record — 14-Way

Organized and flew the first-ever AWF World Record in Portimão, Portugal. Fourteen wingsuit pilots docked with an airplane in formation, setting a benchmark for the discipline.

Co-organized the second AWF World Record at the Baltic Wingsuit Meet. Eighteen pilots in formation — pushing the limits of what was thought possible in wingsuit-airplane proximity flying.

XRW — eXtreme Relative Work

Performed an XRW dock with barrel-roll canopy and wingsuit — one of the most technically demanding manoeuvres in the sport, requiring millimetre-precision flying at vastly different airspeeds.

German National AWF Record — 9-Way

Organized the German national AWF record in Schlierstadt. Nine wingsuit pilots successfully docked with the airplane in formation.

Pioneered the High Speed Exit Flare (HSE) discipline, achieving exit speeds of 277.8 km/h and altitude gains exceeding 130 metres after leaving the aircraft — a testament to aerodynamic mastery.
